I always excel in placing and managing the research and development (R&D) work using my 35 plus years’ experience in conducting field research studies on a wide range of broad acreage and specialty crops, including vegetable, fruits, sugarcane, and rice, and knowledge of agri-sciences.
I have passion in field research to develop innovative technologies both professionally and personally for sustainable agriculture. I’m able to put my passion and knowledge into practice every day in my role at AgriThority® as a senior research scientist and agronomist for the past 8 years.
My strong work ethic, leadership, analytical and negotiation skills have been assets in my career managing R&D work in crop production, crop protection, plant breeding, and nutrient management. I have expertise in extension and education, competencies to compile and analyze research data to publish reports and scientific research papers in refereed journals of international repute, and a wide network across North America, Asia and Africa Continent to conduct research.
2020 was another unique and challenging year distinct from the past. The Coronavirus pandemic throughout the crop season made managing field research studies more of a challenge. However, I successfully managed 70 small and large plot trials, planted within the commercial planting window across 19 states with 29 researchers, including a University Scientist in North America, following guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
These trials were on canola, citrus, corn, potato, soybean, and tomato. We prepared the research reports based on data received from the researchers and field visits to the satisfaction of our clients. I have many more product development and field research projects underway for the 2021 season and anticipate continuing to build our research network to deliver clients the best possible results.
